Chesapeake is in Virginia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Chesapeake follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

My animals LOVE VISITING THEM! They treat my animals so kindly when we are getting registered for the year! Keep up the good work!

Hundreds of kids and parents playing soccer games at Centerville Park, and the bathrooms are closed for maintenance, with a row of porta johns instead. Do you understand how unsanitary it is for small children, 3, 4, 5, 6 year old trying to use those things and how difficult it is for a parent to assist a child using the bathroom in a porta john? This isn't Portsmouth, I expect better from the city with my tax dollars. Do better.

Are there any trustworthy refs for this organization!? Any that WILL NOT CHEAT THE KIDS!? This is clearly a FUMBLE but was called as a touchdown!! HOW IS THIS EVEN POSSIBLE!? The refs have been cheating the kids all season, if you don’t want to do the damn job then QUIT!!! Any recommendations on other recs centers that actually care about what’s going on?

I love the department updates that this department publishes on their website monthly. I appreciate that I can see all the updates they are doing around the city. I have been involved with Parks & Recs for many years & the staff works hard to keep our city buildings clean, keep our parks maintained, keep our programs running and provide recreational activities for all ages across the city. They are responsive to every suggestion I have ever made & take pride in making Chesapeake a better place to live.

Policy that hurts or reduces the opportunity for kids to compete is wrong. Citizens of Chesapeake sign their kids up for sports seeking the full experience not to be cheated for profit gain. Boys basketball season includes playoffs and championship games with resources being secured by prior budget. Simply put you are robbing the kids of the hard work they put in earning the opportunity to compete.
